"Peace through Music"

The Light, orchestrated, excerpt.

Mission:

What makes music music? What makes art art?
Is aesthetic simply a matter of interpretation? Or is there some kind of absolute measure of beauty?

My mission is to make the world a better place through music. Through music one can educate, grow, uplift spirit, heal, and communicate on another level. There is no better way to teach than through example, and one should live out one's true calling.

Music has been shown time and again to be a needed for healthy development of the brain. Music facilitates creativity, spatial comprehension, logic and understanding all sciences dealing with patterns (music, math, languages), and let us not forget games like chess! Let us not neglect our music!

My compositions aim to appeal to the public through new sounds and combinations of sounds which are accessible upon first hearing, but which have an impact unlike most other music. There does seem to be an underlying aesthetic in my music which tends toward the positive and the emotional. I would love to think that some of my music has directly evoked love, peace and well-being for another.

Other composers who have inspired me particularly are Morten "Skip" Lauridsen (choral), Pat Metheny (guitar), Aaron Copland and Paul Hindemith, Edwin Fissinger (choral), John Rutter (choral), Nils Lindberg (choral), along with Chopin (of course!) and Bach, and the whole realm of 'classical' composers. But as a composer, I must tuly admit that I love my own music. And I am glad to be able to share it.

Thanks also to the New Civilization Network which allows our music not to go "out of print".

Due to time pressures I find I am no longer able to adequately represent other composers.

Thank you for visiting!
