Hetty Clews

Hetty Clews, Ph.D. was born in England, emigrated to Canada with her physician husband in 1958. She received her first degree at the University of Birmingham, England, and did her graduate and post-graduate degrees in Theology and Literature at the University of Saskatchewan.

Hetty has been a liftime teacher at every level from kindergarten to graduate school, in English, drama and theatre. She is also an award-winning actor and director.

Although she retired from teaching at the Univesity of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) in 1989, Hetty still teaches in the Countinuing Education curriculum, and acts and directs in local theatre productions.

Hetty is author of critical studies, petry, short stories and plays. She has four children, and eight grandchildren.
