- Fanfare for Orchestra: 2010 (3:00) A vivacious and modern-sounding fanfare for the entire orchestra, especially the brass and timpani, with a soaring, lyrical middle section for the strings; inspired by Richard Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra, but designed to go Strauss one better thanks to the evolution of the tonal idiom! This piece was performed at the Gala Opening of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza (Boris Brott conducting).
